Effects of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods on the Domestic Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Situated along the historic Greater Silk Road and at the crossroads of major international arteries, Azerbaijan is ideally positioned to become a transport hub in the Caspian region and to expand its global reach. This article surveys the legal landscape of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods with respect to Article 19, also known as the battle of the forms section. It also discusses the Convention’s expansive role in developing and strengthening a modern and flexible commercial legal framework in Azerbaijan to meet new challenges of global trade.
